In this article you will find out how to install RED Code for R:ED X kit.
DESCRIPTION
R:ED Code is a visual, event-driven programming environment designed for kids and teens. The platform software is based on the Scratch language and contains a library of functions depicted as icons. By dragging the mouse, you can create flowcharts from icons and write simple or complex programs.
System requirements: The software can run on Microsoft Windows XP, VISTA, 7, 8 and 10. Minimum PC requirements: USB connection, 3 GB RAM, 300 MB free hard disk space, Internet connection.

Attention! New version of RED Code software for RED X kit, does not support generated sketches in the RED Code version for RED Pro kit.

Instructions to install RED Code

Download setup file
Click on the "Download" button and select a file (x86/x64) depending on the bit depth of your Windows OS.

Run the setup file
Double click the left mouse button on the RED Code icon.

Select a user
At this stage, you need to select a user who will have access to R: ED Code, and click "Next>".

Select a folder to unzip files
Select the path where the setup file should unzip all files and click "Next>".

Get started
Click on "Finish", R:ED Code will automatically start up and it's ready to go.

Install the driver
Click on “install driver” button

Select the driver
Select the path to the "extra-files" file and select the driver you need
If your software does not work correctly, install a file called "Patch"
