Schoolchildren from Almaty came back from Sydney, Australia with a triumph. The Asia Pacific Open Championship of Robotics took place there. Bolt.M3 team from republic physics and math school of the city of Almaty had not only taken silver but also won two important nominations - Think Award and Connect Award.
By the way, more than 300 children from 10 countries, including USA, Canada and India, took part in the Asia Pacific Open Championship. According to the team’s captain nobody expected Kazakhstani to take three awards in result. As Tair says, preparing for the championship is much more difficult than the championship itself. According to the Head of USTEM Robotics foundation, Asylbek Murzakhmetov, the program called FIRST (which gave these children an opportunity to participate in this championship) is already there for more than 30 years, and Kazakhstan is participating only for the last 6 years. He also emphasised that Bolt.M3 team has deserved that victory as the main award always goes to those who made a greater impact to STEM idea development.
